You may have already been in contact with the main admissions office here at Northfield Mount Hermon but I wanted to introduce NMH Summer to you.

Each year we welcome 225-275 students, from the U.S. and around the world, to study for 2-,  3- or 5-weeks on our beautiful campus in western Massachusetts. Since our inception in 1905 all 50 states and 129 countries have been represented, with a typical student body comprising half domestic and half international students.

We offer a profound experience where students find themselves challenged, inspired and motivated to be their best-self. We provide quality academic experience alongside an extensive extra-curricular program providing fun activities, off campus trips, personal development workshops, community building activities, and sports.

For grades 9-12 we invite students to fill academic gaps, get ahead with graduation requirements and make life-long connections. We offer 15 credit courses, 16 enrichment and academic workshops, and in the afternoons – 9 enrichment courses (including SAT test prep) and a wide array of sports.

For grades 7-8 we offer the opportunity to build academic skills, meet new friends, have fun, and grow self-confidence along the way!  Explore our 22 major courses, 15 workshops, 14 minor courses (including SSAT test prep) and sports.

As a handy reference, I am including here a full list of classes being offered.

Our beautiful campus and new $30 million Gilder Center (where all our summer classes will be held) is the perfect learning environment – it’s amazing! You can take a virtual tour of the building here.

For further information you may visit our website or reach out to the NMH Summer office at summer@nmhschool.org or call 413-498-3290. I am also including our Summer flier should you wish to distribute it to your families, and a great poster representing the breadth of our program in pictures! We also encourage you to watch our NMH Summer video and the student videos on our ‘Why NMH‘ page to give you a broader view of NMH as a school.
